Plans are underway at DRD HQ for 2023. Organisers are urging enthusiastic competitors, spectators, and sponsors to book their (off DRD HQ) accommodation immediately if they have not already done so when leaving DRD after the race last year. DRD23 being its 5th year the event has grown exponentially, from its humble beginnings in 2019. More than doubling the competition nominations across both categories, adding a 2nd spectator area to accommodate the explosion in interest, and keeping the competitors smiling with more jumps.

Dates for 2023 have been released off the back of a super successful 2022 event due to the rising DRD euphoria. So far the committee is keeping its cards close to its chest with information regarding the event and race preparations for the much anticipated 2023 race. Bowen at the ‘Top of the Whitsundays’ is the heart of secluded beaches and is increasingly popular all year round, with international travelers, seasonal workers, and the abundance of grey-haired nomads that flood Bowen’s 9 caravan parks through Bowens idyllic winter weather can make finding accommodation tricky if not pre-booked.
