The Don River Dash wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible support of our volunteers – they are the heart and soul of the event, and we’re calling on our amazing community to join the crew for 2025!
There are all sorts of ways to get involved. Whether you’re keen to be out in the thick of it with sweep crews and recovery teams in the riverbed, or you’d rather lend a hand behind the scenes with logistics, admin support, or helping at the Online Merch Pick-Up station, we’ve got a role to suit everyone.
And if you’ve got a fun streak… we’re even on the hunt for someone to don the Kenny the Bowen Mango costume at Friday night’s community event. (It’s hot in there, but the smiles are worth it!)
Volunteering at the Don is a great way to experience the event up close, meet awesome people, and contribute to something pretty special in our beautiful Bowen. Many of our volunteers return year after year — and we’d love for you to be part of the team.
