Vendors for 2026

We’ve got a great lineup of food vendors to keep you fed and hydrated at our 2026 event. You will find almost all of them all at our Friday Community Event, and then some will remain at the Showgrounds for the rest of the weekend to keep competitors fed, and the others will relocate to the Pat McDonnell Earthmoving Spectator Zone. And Mr Whipsunday will be roving all Spectator Zones and the Showgrounds across the weekend.

And the Licensed Bar at the Friday Night Kick Off will be manned by Bowen Rugby Union Inc (or the Muddies as they are affectionately called in the district)!

Volunteers

It takes over 200 people to make the river roar each year, and there is a role to suit every skillset and ability. A list of roles and descriptions is here.

Photography & Media

Photographer spots in the river’s centre exclusion zone are limited for safety reasons – allocation of these spots is now closed for 2026.
